Frequently Asked Questions

We strive to be incredibly transparent, and we don’t think it’s fair to you to force you on a phone call to find out basic information.

How are you different from other agencies?
+

The agency-client relationship has historically been tricky. Prior to working with us, our clients have commonly shared their horror stories of uncompleted projects, poor communication, and being nickel-and-dimed for every little thing — it’s a story as old as time.

We do things differently.

Taking a page from the late David Ogilvy, the recommendations we make to our clients are the recommendations we would make if we owned your business ourselves — period.

We also believe in best-in-class customer service, because that’s what we would want if the roles were reversed. (Here’s a video testimonial we received from a client - completely unsolicited.)

On top of this, we write contracts that are fair for both sides — because we believe that business is a mutual exchange, not a matter of how to take advantage of someone.

We have zero-tolerance for work that’s below par. You hire an agency to build great work that works as you desire, and that’s what we intend to do — anything else would be a disservice to you.

The key to our success is genuinely making your business as successful as possible. That, quite literally, makes the best case study for us.

Who runs Websterpeace?
+

Hey there!

I'm Matt Varughese — the Founder + Business Director here at Websterpeace. I started Websterpeace back in 2015, and have been honored to build this company into what it is today.

These days, you'll find me running one of three things:

  • Websterpeace: Building high-performing websites, web apps, and mobile apps for some of the world's most prominent brands, artists, and startups.

  • The Visual Developers Podcast: A weekly podcast that I co-host — talking about all things no-code. We interview CEOs + makers in the no-code space, catch up on the latest in no-code news, give our honest feedback on tools, and more.

  • Visual Dev School: Our school to help democratize software development and give everyone the skills they need to build their next technical product or startup.

If you're trying to build a profitable e-commerce business or software-based startup, don't hesitate to reach out to me via email or on Twitter — I'd love to listen.

Do you have availability to work with us?
+

We'd love to connect and see if we have availability! While we are nearing capacity right now (this FAQ answer is updated monthly), we're still keen to hear ideas and see if we can get you a dedicated spot on our calendar.

Plus, if we're not a good fit or don't have availability — we always keep a handful of references that we can connect you with to build your project. Reach out!

What are your credentials?
+

Glad you asked — software and e-commerce is something that we live and breathe, so here are just some of our credentials:

  • Trusted by the biggest brands: We've been entrusted to handle millions of dollars in commerce by some of the your favorite brands, artists, and startups all around the globe.

  • Webflow Community Expert: Matt (Founder) is an official Webflow Community Expert — helping people on the Webflow Forums and providing specialized Webflow assistance for all folks using Webflow.

  • Leading the charge in no-code: Unlike other agencies who pitch no-code solutions without ever having used any of the tools in the space, we actually build with no-code tools each day. Matt also leads The Visual Developers Podcast and Visual Dev School — two resources to help others in no-code stay sharp and proficient with their no-code skills.

What budgets do you work with?
+

This is highly dependent on the scope of the project, as simple one-page websites will be billed completely differently than custom built e-commerce stores which would be billed differently than a user-centric web app. In the sake of transparency though, we’ll share that we generally only take projects that begin at $10K, with most of our projects ranging between $15K and $50K.

That said, we commonly make exceptions for micro-builds, single-page websites, sprints, and other projects of that nature, depending on our availability. Regardless of your budget, we’re here to help. Please don’t hesitate to contact us — we love hearing about new projects.

What is no-code?
+

No-Code, otherwise known as "Visual Development", is a relatively new facet of software development that allows individuals and companies to build software visually — without having to write the code yourself.

By using mobile app builders like Draftbit to website builders like Webflow to automation tools like Integromat and Zapier, we're able to build products, tools, and apps at both a fraction of the cost and time of traditional development — allowing companies to focus more on building their business and less on building their code base.

If you're wondering: we still write code — in fact, a lot of our projects are coined as "low-code" projects, where we use no-code tools to speed up design and development and write code to add core functionality, like was the case with Chance the Rapper's Rapper Radio or our B2B SaaS app, Connected Kennels.

At the end of the day, we match the project with the right tools. Is no-code for every project? Maybe not right now — and if that's the case, we can build a solution that relies on code and no-code alike, allowing you to get focus on what matters: your business.
